Our future plans…

Rehabilitation Sanctuary

The foster care facilities of Little Paws provide safe, comfortable, loving homes for the hundreds of cats that become our residents, whether short or long term.  However, as stray and unwanted cats increase year on year, we are looking into further space in the form of a new rehabilitation sanctuary.

There are several reasons why you should consider supporting Little Paws.  Any contributions made from local companies could lead to us receiving match funding from trusts and other organisations. You could have a real impact on one of the animal welfare charities in Queensland and make a significant difference to the lives of the cats, which desperately need our help.

Remember…

  • Your business can claim tax relief on sponsorship to our charity.
  • You can also claim tax relief for donating stock or equipment
  • Your business can set up and promote a Payroll Giving Scheme. Costs are minimal and can claim tax relief on setting up and running a scheme.
  • Business leaders are increasingly realising that social responsibility enhances corporate reputation.
  • Consumers now expect the brands, products and services they choose, as well as the organisations that employ them, to give back to the community and to support their interests and concerns.  The vast majority of employees (74%) are unhappy with the limited opportunities they have to get involved with charities while at work – internet-based poll on careers website Monster.co.uk
  • With over two thirds of Australians owning at least one pet, you can be assured by partnering with Little Paws, you will positively associate your business with a leading animal welfare charity.  When deciding to buy a product or service,  83% of the general public feel it is ‘very’ or ‘fairly important’ that a company shows a high degree of social responsibility – Sue Adkins, Director, Business in the Community (UK)
  • Animals are used to promote people products more than any other product.
  • Animal welfare is recognised as one of the most popular charity causes for employee volunteering.  “The strongest case for payroll giving must surely be the link to Human Resources; increased employee goodwill, improved staff morale, and better recruitment and retention rates” – Ethical Corporation magazine

Where Investment is Needed

Construction of our new Little Paws Rehabilitation Sanctuary for Cats and Kittens – We would like to build a new facility to aid in the housing and treatment of our feline friends that require long term respite care due to neglect, abuse or behavioural issues.

Marketing Campaign - Corporate/business sponsorship is essential for daily costs involved in running of the charity from our base in Loganlea, Qld. An agreed amount would be allocated and spent wisely on the most productive marketing campaigns throughout the year. This would generate large volumes of traffic to our website, raising awareness as well as donations online. Our sponsors would be given exposure throughout the year on all campaigns.

Volunteer Staff – To cover expenses involved in the implementation of a marketing campaign, maintenance and optimisation of the website, accounts administration, fundraising, following up enquiries as well as the daily duties involved in running of a charity.  Though all our staff are volunteers, there are endless administration costs involved (postage, phone bills, internet, petrol, etc).

How much investment? – This all depends on YOU, the sponsor.  As a small charity, it is much easier for Little Paws to manage finances and provide all sponsors a full breakdown of the investment.  Our aim is to keep operating costs to a minimum.  Corporate funding is to be utilised on the maintenance and expansion of Little Paws, building our new rehabilitation sanctuary, enabling us to save more stray, dumped, abused, neglected and unwanted cats and kittens.

Associate Business Partnership – Working together for our community

Little Paws Kitten Rescue Assoc. cannot achieve its mission without support, and to that end we are seeking to develop partnerships with Qld businesses, who are dedicated to seeing continued improvements to animal welfare within the State. In return, Little Paws offers commercial benefits and public recognition to corporate partners.

The Associate Business Partnership program is geared towards small to medium-sized businesses to enhance their community profile and provide partners with numerous marketing and advertising opportunities. It has been designed to acknowledge and promote the support businesses give to Little Paws Kitten Rescue and to build long term, mutually beneficial relationships with the business community of Queensland.  The benefits offered in the partnership package include (but are not limited to):

  • Your company’s name and logo displayed on our website, documentation, annual newsletter and charity events. We have on average 25,000 – 28,000 views per month; approximately 650-700 hits per day of traffic viewing our website.
  • Your company name included in all press releases related to the work of the project
  • A certificate of appreciation acknowledging your support
  • Networking prospects and opportunities to take part in our fundraising events throughout the year
  • An alignment with a leading animal welfare brand.  There’s a massive amount of community interest in animal rescue and re-homing.  Imagine the impact being linked with us could have for YOUR business.

Little Paws holds bi-monthly weekend shopping centre displays, where community shoppers can meet our ‘pat-a-cats’ and mascots, learn about our non-profit organisation and the important work we do.  Your banner can be on display as ‘silent marketing’ right at the source… consumers see your company logo at our displays in the shopping centre, recognise that you are supporting an animal rescue, which in turn leads to more sales in the grocery store.  48% of consumers said that cause-related marketing motivated them to switch brand, increase usage or try a new product Business in the Community Brand Benefit Report (UK).

Animal welfare is high on the agenda for your customers & employees.
